The DC Mini Maker Faire Production Team has big news for 2015! Washington DC is proud to host the inaugural National Maker Faire. Held in our Nation’s Capital, and brought to you as a collaboration between the DC Mini Maker Faire team (Revolution x Design/Nation of Makers), the DC Government, University of the District of Columbia, and Maker Media, the Nation’s first Maker Faire is sure to be an event to remember. To be held at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) on June 12th-13th, 2015, we look forward to welcoming America’s Makers to our Nation’s Capital.

In particular, our team is looking forward to showcasing our beloved DC community of makers in a DC Showcase at the Faire with additional featured makers from across our great nation. In addition to showing the geographic diversity of making around our nation, the National Maker Faire is proud to highlight diversity amongst makers, with an Historically Black College and University and Tribal College Showcase, participation by federal agencies (including the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Education, the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the National Institute of Standards and Technology and NASA), and featured makers of all types, from robots and circuits, to textiles and craft.
